Yate Sofia company was founded in 1969, and is nowadays the pioneer company in maritime fishing and sightseeing excursions on the island of Tenerife. Currently, it has two boats. SOFIA: Striker 44', which measures 12 metres in length, two 370 HP IVECO engines, a maximum speed of 27 knots, and capacity for 12 passengers. CABRACHO: Trophy 21', with 6.5 metres in length, motorization EVINRUDE ETEC 150 HP, maximum speed of 34 knots and capacity for 5 passengers. The departures are made from the island of TENERIFE, departing from the harbour of Los Cristianos to LA GOMERA, and they can last 4 or 7 hours. The routes depend on the type of fishing selected, the time of the year, the movement of fish on those days and the weather conditions. On the 7-hour or over excursions, it is possible to go 20 miles or even further away from the departing harbour and go fishing on the island of La Gomera. In Tenerife there is a huge variety of fishing techniques. Sometimes we are even accompanied by fishers who come with their own equipment to test their new fishing techniques in our waters, helping us to improve and learn every day. Our boats have all the necessary and required equipment to comply with safety rules and for safe and unforgettable navigation.
