This was the first camel breeding centre in Tenerife. We started operating in 1988 with 15 camels on a banana plantation located in Guaza, and by 1993 we had already managed to gather more than 60 animals. From then until today, after having faced and overcome many challenges, Camel Park has become a park where you can be in touch with nature, accompanied by our wonderful farm animals. There, you can also enjoy our extensive restaurant service and have a great time on our iconic camel ride, and everything only a few kilometres away from the city. All animals lose water through evaporation and their respiratory surfaces are the areas where most water is lost in most species around the world. However, camels are the exception. They can be thirsty for even up to four days and, when there is an opportunity to drink, they fill up with water to make up for the past and to save for the future, after having muddied the water first by kicking it. Enjoy a pleasant camel ride through a typical farm in the south of Tenerife, among prickly pears, fig peaks and banana trees. This excursion is perfect for all ages, families and especially children. Hang out with Kalima the she-donkey, Arturo the tortoise, Lola the black Canary sow, and other farm animals. We will serve some appetisers on the terrace area, which is decorated with details from the camel world and antique agricultural utensils.
